As a registered acupuncturist with the Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Nova Scotia, my focus is on helping people feel their best, whether they’re dealing with chronic pain, acute injuries, structural imbalances, or stress and anxiety.
I have a special interest and advanced training in low back and hip pain, disk herniations, sciatica, knee pain, neck and shoulder pain, as well as, nerve impingement.
I draw from a broad range of approaches including in Traditional Chinese Medicine, classical acupuncture, meridian theory, dry needling, and sports medicine acupuncture, all to ensure the best possible outcomes for my patients.

Sophie Kaufman (they/she) graduated from Eastern College’s Massage Therapy program in
June 2023, and is a member in good standing with MTANS. Sophie approaches massage
therapy treatment from a trauma-informed care lens. They come to massage therapy with a
commitment for holistic healthcare, for all bodies, from all walks of life.
Sophie has worked with clients living with chronic pain, pelvic dysfunction, headaches, stress,
anxiety, PTSD, sprains/strains, and has a particular interest in supporting 2SLGBTQ+ clients.
She has a passion for making people feel safe in her treatment room, especially those who find
traditional healthcare settings challenging. She utilizes myofascial techniques, passive
